The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has officially opened the 2025 application procedure.
Applications are now open and can shut on fifteen December 2024.
*** Who qualifies for NSFAS funding
To qualify for NSFAS funding, an applicant must satisfy the subsequent criteria:
• Be a South African citizen or copyright who emanates from a home having a combined gross domestic income that does not exceed R350 000 for every annum.
• People with disabilities qualify if their combined family profits doesn't exceed R600 000 per annum.
• SASSA recipients immediately qualify for funding and want not submit any proof of income.
*** Loan Scheme for the Missing Middle
The NSFAS Loan Scheme for the missing middle is open up to all South African citizens and permanent people from homes with combined R350 000 and R600 000 per annum.
Applicants are reminded to supply the right Id Doc numbers, names, and surname, as mirrored in their South African ID.
NSFAS only funds individuals who are finding out or plan to research in a general public university or TVET college in South Africa.
All students who wish to study in any of the public universities and TVET colleges should apply timeously and not to wait until the last day.
Learners do not have to wait for matric results to apply for NSFAS. They should apply 2025 nsfas application now and avoid delays in the processing of their application.
